With all this buzz coming in from the Bugatti, Lamborghini and Koenighskhsbsj. What ever happened to SSC? You guys remember them?
They were working on the Tuatara. A supercar with a good ol’ V8 and a supposed speed limit of “275mph”. I actually liked the styling of that car, compared to the hideous Ultimate Aero. Did they turn into a vapor distributor?

That’s an odd looking Enzo.

They must have entered the continuum.

They were still active last I heard.

I said it in another post. There’s a lot of vaporware in the car world at the moment. It’s easy to brag about your 275mph car before you’ve built it.
I never liked SSC anyway. That Aero looked like it was stuck in the 90s, it didn’t even start production ‘til 2006. 1300hp through two wheels with no traction control is sheer idiocy.

Their website has a praise mentioning the MP4-12C and Aventador, which obviously are old standards by now. The newest update on their News page is from April ‘13, nearly 3 full years ago.
Also, the specs page for the Tuatara is hilarious. Everything on there seems more like targets rather than actual achievements.

I listened to a lecture yesterday about Tuatara in NZ. I got all excited because I knew the word, both as reptile and car.

Well, Castriota went to Ford with big fanfare a couple months ago.
